Enrolment and Application Procedure
The courses offered by our training department are partly-funded by the Skills Funding Agency. The government, through the Skills Funding Agency, requires that learners also pay towards the cost of courses. The only exception to this is for Skills for Life English Literacy and Numeracy classes, which continue to be free. Skills Funding Agency funding means that we have to check that you are eligible , under government guidelines, to enrol on a course.
Enrolment Procedure for the following courses: ESOL, Computing, English and Maths
We have three main enrolments per year - one each in the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. If you are interested in joining a course at CWRC, you will need to complete a registration card. You can download the card here or you can contact the centre by phoning C.321148. The card should be returned to:

If you are eligible for the course(s) you are interested in, you will be invited to attend an enrolment appointment with the course tutor/s. The purpose of your enrolment appointment is to:
- Check that we have the correct details for you on a CWRC User Information Form
- Make sure that the course(s) you have chosen are right for you at the present time
- Check that you have a clear idea of what the course is about and are committed to regular attendance
- Check that you are eligible for the course
- Take payment for your course
- Give you an introduction to the centre, its history and our Statement of Intent
After your appointment, you will be offered either:
i) A place on the course or
ii) A place on the reserve list which means if a place becomes available we will contact immediately or
iii) If no suitable courses are available, the opportunity to book a one-to-one appointment with a Guidance Worker.
