Opening times  

Crèche is open from 9.15 to 12.15 and from 1.00 to 3.30pm

How we operate                                                

The day to day running of the Crèche is managed by the Crèche Team Leader, Sholeh Rahimi and is staffed by two deputies and a number of qualified and experienced Sessional Workers, Sholeh can usually be found in the Crèche or can be contacted by phone on 321148

CWRC Creche aims:                                                                          

To provide high quality childcare, free of charge to any woman using CWRC facilities
To ensure that all women and children feel welcome, safe supported and secure.
To ensure that all children will have an enjoyable and creative time in our creche.
To offer impartial information, advice and support to women on a wide range of childcare related matters.


The space                                                                                          

The crèche consists of a "front" room, a "back" room, a kitchen, toilets, and a garden.  In the back room we have a soft play area and a platform where children can stand and watch the trains.  We try to use the garden as often as possible

Activities                                                                                           

We have organised activities and opportunities for painting and gluing, music and story times for every session, however our main focus is on free play.

We work to encourage positive behaviour and encourage children to find their own solutions to problems in a way that is appropriate to the child's age and understanding of the situation.

Special needs or requirements                                                       
Children with special needs are positively welcome.  If your child has any special needs or disability which we need to be aware of please discuss this with us and we will work with you to establish any care plans, as appropriate. 

We endeavour to ensure that everyone can access our services and promote the idea of women and children with disabilities taking part in all activities, as far as is reasonably possible, within the Centre.  Our Crèche is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled access toilet on the same floor as the Crèche. .If you have any needs or requests that would help with you or your child's participation in the Crèche please speak with the Crèche Team Leader.

Settling new children in the Crèche                                               

If your child is not used to being in this kind of environment we recommend that you come in together before your term starts to give your child an opportunity to meet us.  Please contact Sholeh to arrange a time.
