Volunteering at CWRC

Volunteer Group Facilitator:

Based: Cambridge Women’s Resource Centre, positions available at both Cambridge and Peterborough Women’s Centres.

About the role: CWRC runs groups for women in our community who want to learn new skills, refresh knowledge and meet other women in a safe environment. The groups are facilitated by two Group Facilitators who receive initial and ongoing training from CWRC. We are looking for a Group Facilitator to meet and greet new and regular attendees, to introduce them to the rest of the group, and facilitate the meeting according to the training given.

Media and Communications Volunteer:

Based: Home working with the option of office space in Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre in either Cambridge or Peterborough Women’s Centres

Hours: 6 hours per week.

About the role:  At CWRC we offer  information, advice and support on a range of issues affecting or impacting women either as a universal offer of support or more specific help through one of our many projects under CWRC or as a partnership offer. We educate, inform and support people, our website and publications, our training for professionals and our public awareness campaigns. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and skilled volunteer with an interest in women’s services to support our social media communications and with our press, campaigning and digital activities.
