Housing and Benefits Support Worker 

For over 40 years, CWRC has supported women in Cambridge to live safe and fulfilling lives. Our Women’s Centre provides practical support, learning opportunities, and advocacy in a safe, inclusive environment.

The Role
Our Housing & Benefits Support Worker supports women experiencing housing insecurity and/or navigating the benefits system. The role focuses on housing advocacy, particularly for women using homelessness services, living in temporary accommodation, resettling after homelessness, fleeing domestic abuse, or recently granted refugee status. The post also involves helping women access and maintain their benefit entitlements.

This role is suitable for early-career applicants with relevant academic or lived experience, as well as experienced housing professionals. Due to the nature of the service, this post is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.

Hours: 28 weekly – Tuesday to Friday

Pay: £20,000 pa (pro rata £25,000)
